USA Today-About 32 million Yahoo accounts accessed using forged cookies
The Yahoo has revealed that 32 million accounts were accessed by intruders in the last two years using forged cookies. The forged cookies allow intruders to access user accounts without a password. The company said some of the intrusions can be linked back to the same state-sponsored actor believed to be responsible for the 2014 breach in which at least 500 millions accounts were affected. Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer agreed to forgo any annual equity award she would get for 2017 because of 2014 massive data breach.
