Sasikala swearing-in hits legal hurdles

V K Sasikala, who was recently made the general secretary of the ruling AIADMK and who was elected leader of the legislative party on Sunday is set to become the chief minister. But her plans failed as the Governor Ch Vidya Sagar Rao is taking the steps very carefully. The Supreme Court has learned to have given the indication on Monday that it would deliver a verdict within a week in the Jayalalithaa disproportionate assets case, in which Sasikala is a co-accused.
