Hyderabad police swooped in at Gandhi Bhavan this morning and rounded up a group of contract lecturers of government colleges, for gathering there to protest against Congress party. They removed the banners put up by the protesters and bundled them away in police vans. Speaking to the media person, the contract lecturers said that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government has passed G.O. 60, streamlining their services. Meanwhile, Manawata Rai, on behalf of regular lecturers, filed a petition in High Court (HC) against the G.O. Furious about this, the contract lecturers decided to protest at Gandhi Bhavan.
