AP Tourism department has made ready it's proposals to develop the belt of Pushkar Ghat to Havelock Bridge into tourist spot with an estimated budget of Rs 110 crores. Havelock is a railway bridge which was built on the river Godavari 114 years back on the name of British Governor Havelock. The bridge extends between Rajahmundry Pushkar Ghat and Kovvur which of 2.75 km long. After 100 years of it's built the transport of trains was stopped over the bridge. Now the govt made the proposals to widen the bridge to establish food courts, night bazaars, and shopping complexes to develop it as a tourist spot. Action plan will be implemented with the transfer of the property from Railway department to AP govt.
