Kapu leader and the former minister Mudragada Padmanabham, who has launched an agitation for the cause of Kapu community, has been house arrested. Mudragada Padmanabham has been placed under house arrest in his native village of Kirlampudi, Rajahmundry on Tuesday. The house arrest is seen as a preventive measure by the police to thwart the move of the Kapu leader, who was scheduled to begin a 'Kapu Satyagraha Yatra' on Wednesday. The Police force has been deployed near the residence of the Kapu leader. Irate Kapu leader has reportedly alleged that the state was under the rule of a dictator.
