IT raids on film finance companies of Sasikala Natarajan

The Income Tax officials conducted raids on the houses of AIADMK leader Palanisamy and his relatives in Chennai and recovered Rs 12 crore in cash. Palanisamy is follower of Sasikala. When Jayalalithaa went to jail in assets case, Sasikala had referred the name of Palanisamy for Chief Minister post. Raids also conducted by IT officials on film finance company run by Natarajan, husband of Sasikala. The IT raids assumed importance in the wake of Sasikala aspiring for Chief Minister's post after winning R K Nagar by-election.
