Rs. 5-cr worth new notes, 7 kg gold, seized by IT officials in raids in Bengaluru
Rs. 5 crore worth of new 2,000 and 500 rupees notes and several kilos of gold have been unearthed in the houses of two Bengaluru officials, in Income Tax (IT) raids. The IT officials were shocked to discover the cash in new notes, in the houses of two bureaucrats, who also posed as civil contractors, in the present Karnataka government. This is first time after demonetisation that IT officials have detected such huge amounts in the form of new notes. Both the bureaucrats are said to be close to Chief Minister Siddiramaiah.
