Union minister Rajnath Singh says do not politicize note ban

Union minister for Home Affairs Rajnath Singh said that decision to ban Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 notes have been taken with great thought. Prime Minister Modi has taken this decision, not just to retain power or form a government, but for the overall development of the country, he said. Urging Opposition parties, not to politicise the issue, he said that the big notes ban will eventually clean up the country's economy and lead to progress. There will be some inconvenience to people, for sometime, but eventually things will settle down, he said.
