Ink Marks on Bank customers can disrupt polls - EC to Centre
To weed out customers queuing up again and again to exchange invalid currency notes, the bank officials after following the RBI guidelines, have started applying indelible ink mark on the right hand index finger of customers to stop repeat money exchanging.The Election Commission has written a letter to the Centre appealing to stop applying indelible ink mark.It is learnt that Election Commission in the letter has reportedly raised the 'bye election' issue which is going to held in some of the states. The people with indelible ink mark in their finger may find trouble to cast their votes, it is said.
