Centre to launch micro ATMs to overcome cash shortage

People are facing difficulties to get new currency notes from ATMs following the ban of old currency notes. To overcome shortage of cash, the Central government has decided to launch micro ATMs in a big way. Customers can do currency withdrawal and deposit transactions through micro ATMs. The maintenance costs are low for micro ATMs when compared to conventional ATMs. Banks are providing services through the micro ATMs in rural areas. The micro ATM looks similar to credit or debit card swiping machine.
