Child dies as diagnostic centre refuses to take banned notes, in Vizag
A one-and-a-half-year-old child died as a diagnostic center at Gajuwaka in Visakhapatnam, refused to take Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 old notes. The parents, Aadari Ganesh and Lakshmi Sarada, took their ailing daughter to a private hospital at Gajuwaka, in Visakhapatnam. The doctors said that certain tests have to be conducted for viral fever. But the diagnostic centre refused to take old notes, resulting in the parents going back home disappointed. Soon after, the girl died. Ganesh is a watchman in Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), at Gajuwaka.
