Godfather pre release event: Youth dies in mishap, girl injured at venue

Anantapur, September 29: A youth died in a road accident while going to attend the pre release event of Chiranjeevi’s ‘Godfather’ movie in Anantapur on Wednesday.
 
Rajasekhar (23) and his friend Abhiram, residents of Cherlopalli, Gutti mandal, left on a bike to attend the movie’s pre release event at Arts College Grounds in Anantapur on Wednesday morning. A dog suddenly came onto road on national highway 44 near Talagachipalli, Garladinne mandal, and they couldn’t control the bike and fell on the road. Rajasekhar died on the spot while Abhiram was injured. He was admitted in a hospital in Anantapur. 
 
Garladinne police registered a case and took up investigation.
 
Meanwhile, thousands of fans thronged the grounds for the event. During a stampede, Akhila, resident of Rahmath Nagar, was severely injured. Police rushed her to hospital.
