BJP shy of asking TDP support for electing Elder

The BJP had not approached the TDP for promotion to a Rajya Sabha seat so far and if the proposal was made then the ruling party in AP would look into it, Nara Lokesh, Chief General Secrertary of TDP, clarified on Wednesday. Talking to the media in NTR Bhavan, Lokesh was asked just in case the proposal was made what would be TDP's reaction. He said please do not ask speculative questions. If the BJP asked for it, then depending on the circumstances the TDP would take a decision.The TDP leader said the TDP-BJP alliance would continue. The TDP would always strive for benefiting the State. He had the confidence that AP would achieve Special Category Status. In this connection, he said the opposition parties were unncessarily politicising the issue and finding fault with the TDP.
