Bail granted to TDP leader Kollu Ravindra; Nara Lokesh terms arrest illegal
Amidst high drama, the police shifted TDP leader and former minister Kollu Ravindra to government hospital for various tests in Machilipatnam on Thursday morning. A case was registered against Ravindra on the charges of obstructing a police official from performing election duties. The police produced the TDP leader before the district court judge. The judge granted bail to Ravindra as police did not follow the rules required to arrest a person. Meanwhile, TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh has termed his arrest as illegal. He stated that the TDP will highlight the failures of the state government without fearing arrests.
